AKs & AR15s Weapons Pack



This is a mod for Fallout New Vegas, which adds several AK and AR-15 variants to the game. It also has some custom content for these, including reload anims and sounds.

HOW TO INSTALL :


HOW TO INSTALL :

Before starting, make sure your game is patched to the latest version (currently 1.4). Also, I’d recommend manually removing any previous versions of AKs & AR15s, before installing version 4.0.


1. Open FOMM.

2. Open the Package manager Menu.

3. Use the Add FOMod button (this opens a new window which you can use to browse for compressed archives).

4. Go to the directory where you saved the FOMod from this mod and double click it.

5. FOMM should now be loading the files. Once this is done select the mod from your list on the package manager and click activate.

6. Once you have selected the options you want in the installation menu, Click "Install".

7. FOMM may asks you if you want to replace existing files - select "yes to all". If it seems to have frozen, that's normal, just wait for it to finish.

8. Once it has finished extracting the files, check your load order, to make sure "AK_AR15WP.esp" is correctly positioned and activated.


If you are asking for assistance with this mod, please ALWAYS indicate which version you have tried to install. For example: Caliber - Non-Replacement - Anim Replacement... That's an important information, given the differences between the various versions.

UNINSTALL :


1. Start FOMM and Open the Package manager Menu.
2. Highlight the mod and click on "Deactivate".
3. If you hadn't removed a previously installed version before installing this one, FOMM may have restored the files. If it does that, you'll have to remove these manually.


DESCRIPTION / DETAILS :

There are eight different versions of this mod. Here are the specificites for each version:

01 - Caliber-Rep-AnimRep:

- Uses CaliberX ammunition types (therefore requires CaliberX).
- Replaces Assault Carbine, the Service Rifle, Marksman's Carbine, All-American and Lily's Carbine with AR15 rifles.
- Replaces 2 hand automatic animations with custom made ones.
Notes: Incompatible with mods that replace one or more of these weapons (for example, "Weapon Mods Expanded").
       Incompatible with other anim replacement mods (like "Weapon Animation Replacers", for example).

02 - Caliber-Rep-NonAnimRep:

Uses CaliberX ammunition types (therefore requires CaliberX).
Replaces Assault Carbine, the Service Rifle, Marksman's Carbine, All-American and Lily's Carbine with AR15 rifles.
Does not replace any animations. For using with vanilla anims or other anim replacement mods.

Notes: Does not require CaliberX.

Each weapon has custom mods, such as extended mags, synthetic furniture, scopes, silencers, etc...



As for permission reminders:

You are not allowed to re-upload this mod or any part of it without my consent and you are not allowed to use any asset included in this mod without obtaining permission first.
If you want to do anything of the above, contact me first.
You are, however, allowed to make texture replacements for the meshes (provided you don't redistribute any of these meshes with your mod). You are also allowed to use the custom anims for your own Fallout New Vegas weapon mods (see permissions section of the mod's page at Nexus for more details). These anims are uploaded as a modder's resource at Nexus (no account required for downloading these).

  1. This is the best mod I ever saw. The most realistic AK models ever. Thank you very much.
    But IMO, the part that is not cool are shooting sounds, they looks too same.

    Somebody could say, that there is a lack of original AK (AK-47). But original AK's are too rare now, and their place in museums :). I think you could replace it with Norinco Type 56 with solid stock and pig-stick bayonet, along with AKM, the most popular firearm in the world.

    Best weapon mod ever made for a game. I hope we'll get to see your mod in Fallout 4 because without it, the game will suck.

      Version 3.0 is not available anymore, but version 4 has the same models, some additional weapons and a relocated Tasha shop (the location in v3 conflicted with some other mods). Also, if I find it back (‘cause, I have no f**cking idea where I’ve put it – have been looking for it for quite some time), I’ll release a patch v4.0e with some further fixes.

  10. This is an outstanding, really is. But may I request that there be guns added within the next updates such as the SVD, AK-12, and the PKM. Hoping that this is the appropriate place to ask this. Thank you for reading this.

    1. There is no major update planned for the near future, sorry (just one, actually, if I find time to finish it - almost done, but haven't had much time to work on it). The SVD is already present in v4, however.

    2. Sorry for posting this here, but I can't find a thing for sending a PM. I came across several of your models being used in a Russian S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mod. At the time I didn't know where they came from so Incorporated several of them into a mod for Clear Sky I'm doing. I didn't realize about the mesh permissions until now while reading this blog. If you could PM me with a yes or no, please do so. I hope its a yes because these models are awesome, but I understand if its no and I'll remove them.

    1. Planned, not really. If it's the same system as FO3/New Vegas, I'm not very enthusiastic about it. If they provide a better system for animations, maybe. We'll see when FO4 comes out...

  12. Question, I downloaded the nexus version and I've yet to find a XM16E1 or the M16A1, also when going into the shop she doesn't sell anything all it gives me is a " I've got to go" text line. ): Help?
