[WIP] EKP-08-2 / ЭКП-08-2




Also known as "Kobra" sight. Put simply, it's a Russian Red-Dot sight.

  2. Actually it's a holographic sight. "Red dot" usually refers to reflex sights which are more energy efficient, but are limited to a simple dot whereas holographic sights can have multiple different reticles, but they burn through batteries much faster. Modern reflex sights like the Aimpoint CompM4 have battery lives measured in decades. Even if you leave it on by accident for extended periods of time it'll still last the better part of a decade. Then there's Trijicon sights which are the ultimate survivalist optics since they don't require batteries at all. They work off ambient light gathered with fiber optics, and a radioactive isotope of hydrogen called tritium which combined with phosphor gives off light.

    By the way this is the gun of my dreams. At least until the AK-12 hits the market hehe. Excellent work.
