Model info :

This is a model I've built in 2009 for the Crysis engine. It is complete with normal and specular maps.Everything that should be is functional, however the HUD is still incomplete.

Technical info :

The BRDM-2 is an amphibious armored patrol vehicle. It is a 4x4 drive, but has 4 additional chain-driven retractable belly wheels for trench crossing. It has a relatively high fire power for this type of vehicle, being equipped with the same turret and armament as the BTR-60PB/70/80 (depending on production year).

It has an 140 hp V-8 GAZ-41 gasoline engine, an IR spotlight and four IR driving lights, an R-123 radio and provides NBC protection.

The BRDM-2 chassis was also used for a variety of special-purpose vehicles, such as the BRDM-2RKh, a radiological-chemical reconnaissance vehicle which has no turret and is equipped with KZO-2 dispensers, for emplacing warning poles and flags in order to signalize contaminated areas.

It is also used as an ATGM launcher vehicle (9P122/9P133 Malyutka and 9P124). When the Malyutka missile system was progressively abandoned, it was replaced by the 9P148 Konkurs (often wrongly referred to as BRDM-3) which has 5 AT-5 missile launchers mounted on a rotating platform (instead of an elevatable mount, as on the previous versions).

Another notable modification is the 9P31, a surface-to-air missile launcher vehicle (maybe best known by its nato designation, SA-9 "Gaskin").
